Heidi Holzhauer

Heidi Holzhauer, Partner, Carlson Beck, commenced her career in Washington, DC during the Bush and Clinton Administrations. Her first position was working for Majority Whip, Senator Alan Cranston. Upon Senator Cranston’s retirement, Heidi was hired as a key staff member for incoming freshman Senator Russ Feingold from Wisconsin. She was responsible for establishing the office operations and procedures as well as the hiring and orientation of his Washington, DC staff.

After working on Capitol Hill, Heidi joined Pacific Gas and Electric Company in San Francisco as a Regulatory Analyst, working on programs and systems necessary for the deregulation of California’s energy market.

Heidi began her executive search career in 1998 as an Associate for Heidrick & Struggles where she worked for five years in the San Francisco and Seattle offices, executing senior level searches. She is well experienced in “C-level” searches in the nonprofit sector, including ED, President, Executive Director and CFO positions. Heidi also has substantial experience with searches for community foundations, youth development, affordable housing, and health and human services organizations.

Heidi holds a B.A. in English from the University of Puget Sound. Heidi served as the Board Chair of the Napa Valley Community Foundation and was on the board of directors for Summer Search Bay Area. She has served on the Alumni Board for the University of Puget Sound.
