Adam Fazio

In his role at Benefactor Group, Adam has led executive searches for CEO/Executive Director roles at organizations including South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Center for Alumni Relations and Advancement, Momentum-Excellence, the Ohio Pharmacists Association, Lima Community Foundation, Columbus Metropolitan Club, Jazz Arts Group, and Lexington Habitat for Humanity and has led national searches for senior development leaders for organizations including the Epilepsy Foundation of America, Mid-Ohio Food Collective, and Bottom Line.
With a focus on centering equity, staff engagement, and candidate experience, Adam has significantly expanded the scope of Executive Search and Talent services offered at Benefactor Group. A graduate of Third Sector Company Interim Executives Academy, he has led the development of Benefactor Group’s interim services method to include executive director, chief development officer, and advancement services placements. In addition, from August 2023-March 2024, Adam served as the Interim Executive Director of the Lima Community Foundation.
Prior to joining Benefactor Group, Adam was the Director of Development at Local Matters, a Columbus-based nonprofit focused on increasing food equity. In his decade of service at Local Matters, where he also served as Director of Operations, Adam was instrumental in expanding the organization’s reach and impact through partnerships with universities, hospital systems, K-12 schools, grassroots organizations, and businesses.
Adam has also spent time as a Project Manager with an independent, NIH-funded academic research institute in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he oversaw data collection, analysis, and management, and contributed to publications in academic journals. He graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in sociology/anthropology and French.
Adam brings volunteer leadership experience from service on the boards of health equity and educational organizations.
