Raylene Decatur

Raylene Decatur is President & CEO of Decatur & Company, which designs and implements processes that help individuals and groups accelerate their progress at work. Since 2004, the firm has provided leadership transition, strategy, and board governance services for nonprofit organizations, ranging from start-ups with annual budgets of less than one million dollars per year, to complex, mature organizations with over 65 million dollar budgets.

Raylene gained her insights in board governance, talent management, strategic thinking, and organization development through extensive leadership and management experience. Her professional experience includes positions at well-respected institutions, such as, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Chief Operating Officer of the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore, and Director of Exhibitions of the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. In addition, she worked at the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

Raylene chairs the board of Beyond Campus Innovations (BCI), a wholly owned entity of the Colorado State University System Foundation, which is a leading eLearning development and consulting company. BCI partners with businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions to deliver state-of-the-art eLearning solutions that meet the needs of the 21st century workforce. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Rocky Mountain Public Media. Rocky Mountain Public Media is the parent company of Rocky Mountain PBS, KUVO Jazz, and The Drop. Raylene is an active member and former Colorado President of the International Women’s Forum. Since 1996, she has also been actively involved in Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and YPO Gold. She received her B.A. with Distinction from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville and her M.A. from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
